‘I’ll at all times be the voice for the folks in Israel.’
As Floyd Mayweather prepares for his boxing match in opposition to former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, happening in 2026, he has sparked backlash together with his continued assist of Israel, as he acknowledged that he “will at all times be the voice for the folks in Israel.”
He expressed the pro-Israel sentiment whereas accepting an award on the current Republican Jewish Coalition convention (Oct. 31 to Nov. 2) in Las Vegas.
Because the undefeated boxer took to the stage on the convention, he reassured the viewers of his assist as the gang acknowledged his phrases by clapping for him.
“I’m not with you guys 10 %, 50 %. I’ll at all times be the voice for the folks in Israel. I’ll at all times stand behind the nation of Israel. The one and solely Floyd ‘Cash’ Mayweather, and Israel, I’ll at all times be there for you guys whenever you guys don’t have a voice.”
Social media wasted no time in lambasting Mayweather.
The undefeated boxer has proven assist for Israel previously by substantial donations (establishing the Mayweather Israel Initiative and donating $1 million to United Hatzalah of Israel in Miami) and has publicly expressed his satisfaction in supporting Jewish folks (“I’m proud to assist the Jews”).
If Tyson doesn’t knock him off his toes, his outdated foe, Manny Pacquiao, who misplaced to him in 2015, could also be up subsequent. There may very well be a rematch sooner or later, in accordance with Pacquiao. CNN reported that the Filipino boxer appeared on a podcast and acknowledged that their camp is “in negotiations” with Mayweather’s folks.
“It is determined by whether or not we are able to perceive one another,” Pacquiao stated. “My folks and his folks (are) immediately coordinating.”
