South Carolina native Charlamagne Tha God, born Lenard McKelvey, helps households in his residence state affected by the federal government’s pending freeze of the Supplemental Vitamin Help Program (SNAP). 

The radio star has dedicated funds to the Broad River Enterprise Alliance’s Emergency Neighborhood Response System. The BRBA supplies meals baskets and important provides to households in Richland County. The alliance stated the donation will help 208 households who’re going through uncertainty as SNAP funds are anticipated to halt starting Sunday, Nov. 1, as a result of federal authorities shutdown.
